2002 Grand Contractor of the Year (CotY) Award from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) for Whole House Renovation
Home and Garden Television (HGTV) featured a Bowers Design Build project on its “Before & After” show. Each episode of “Before & After” profiles major home remodeling projects from start to finish. This entire McLean house renovation took about one year to design and build. This is the fourth Bowers appearance on “Before and After”.
The before front elevation was charming and reminiscent of a Williamsburg Cape Cod.
The front entrance was remodeled, a 2nd story was added to the section on the right, and an addition was built off of the right of that.
The 2nd story addition was built above the existing one level structure and another addition was built off this end.

A dining room addition was constructed off of the back of the house. The screen porch was converted to a mud room entry area and home office.
