2011 Washington Metro DC Chapter Contractor of the Year (CotY) Award from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) for Best Bathroom Renovation
Although the master bath was in good working order, the fixtures and cabinets were dated and in need of an upgrade. The client desired a larger shower, a private toilet area and “his and hers” vanities. We started with a clean slate and totally re-configured the entire bathroom to achieve these goals.
The bathroom was appropriately sized, but the large bathtub and ceramic tile deck surround divided it in half and crammed all the functions onto one side. Installing a new tub horizontal to the rear wall vs. perpendicular to the wall created greater flow. Creating a “his and her” vanity area gave husband and wife more counter and cabinet space. A new water closet enhances privacy and the larger shower gives the client more room to shower comfortably.
